Harmony Certification

Description: An intense hands-on learning experience covering the fitting and unique qualities of the Harmony™ vacuum system. The first part of this learning experience will be web based.  The practitioner will be required to complete a number of online modules which need to be passed before moving on.  The next step will involve two days of hands on learning.  For this portion the participant will require a patient model, they will need to have created a custom liner and a correctly fitting check socket prior to this section.

TT TF design Certification

Description: This two-day course will teach the prosthetist to collect patient reference data through digital imagery (TT) and measurements (TF). Use the software system to process the information, create a consistent, well fitting socket, select componentry, fabricate prosthesis and email this information to central fabrication services.

Limited to 8 Students


TF design Certification

Description: This will be achieved via strategic visits; we will select appropriate candidates who would best be able to use this technology within their facility.  We spend half a day collecting the patient reference data measurements.  Use the software system to process the information, create a well fitting socket, select componentry, fabricate the prostheses and email the information to central fabrication services.

Fitting of the sockets will take place day two; this also will be a half a day.

 
C-Leg Certification

Part 1
This is a one day course in which participants will become familiar with the Otto Bock C-Leg®. Topics covered will include patient and alignment criteria, components and suitable feet covered by warranty. Fitting techniques will be demonstrated on a C-Leg® patient model. All clinicians in attendance will be eligible for C-Leg® Certification upon successful completion of a written exam at the end of the workshop.

Part 2
In order to complete their C-Leg® Qualification practioners will fit their first C-Leg under the supervision of an Otto Bock instructor.

 

MyoBock Qualification Course

This two-day course covers, in-depth, the technologically advanced MyoBock® system.

Learn how to optimize patient fittings with the MyoBoy Tester/Trainer and gain the skills needed to fit the electric wrist rotator and ErgoArm™.

Gain a comprehensive understanding of our microprocessor features and control principles, so that terminal device selection is a snap.

OBSS Courses

Qualification Course

The two day OBSS qualification course provides participants with the opportunity to learn the principles of the OBSS custom contouring system.   Day 1 will focus on the equipment and software required to effectively use the system.  A volunteer will be molded and each participant will have the opportunity to be involved with transferring the mold to the virtual environment.  Day 2 will see participants break into small groups and practice molding fellow participants.  The day will focus on creating an effective vacuum mold, transferring it to a virtual image and manipulating this data to create a custom cushion. 


Soft Goods Courses

½ Day

This half day course focuses on specific product lines, geared to the client’s present history of brace use.  A brief overview of the most common injuries will be given.  This will be followed with in-depth coverage of specific braces, will particular emphasis on the participants’ existing clientele.  The course will cover measurement, fitting and trouble shooting of specific braces. 

Full Day

This full day course will introduce participants to a wide range of disorders, their characteristic physical presentation and the most appropriate brace selection.   The day will be broken into modules, each addressing a major body segment.  Within each module, participants will be educated on anatomy in addition to the theory and functionality of bracing for that body segment.  Emphasis will be placed on appropriate brace selection and effective fitting techniques.  Demonstrations of the fitting process will be provided and ample time will be given to practice these techniques on fellow participants.  By the end of the full day session, participants will have had exposure to the entire Otto Bock bracing line.
