How to Submit a Story
Stories will be accepted via www.ottobockus.com. Or, you can complete the PDF form and fax, mail or e-mail it to the contact information listed on the form. Admissions will be accepted through midnight, Central Standard Time, on September 1, 2008. As part of the submittal process, permission to share the story publicly will be required. Submittals will become the property of Otto Bock HealthCare LP and will not be returned to the submitter. Otto Bock reserves the right to edit the story if necessary.

Any misrepresentation, falsehoods, libelous materials or other inappropriate content may result in disqualification.

Otto Bock is not responsible for errors or problems with story submission. This includes, but is not limited to, human error, problems of inaccurate or incomplete electronic transmission, or other technical failures of the telephone, computer, network, or software or any transmission via e-mail, fax, mail or web submission.

Choosing a Winner
Entries will be judged by a panel of Otto Bock employees, and judgment will be subjective based on originality, storytelling quality and relevance to Otto Bock and our corporate history. One (1) winner will be notified via the contact information submitted with the story and will have one week to respond and confirm acceptance of the prize. Failure to respond will result in disqualification and an alternate winner will be chosen. The odds of winning depend upon the number of stories received.

The Trip
The winner shall receive a trip for two that includes roundtrip coach airfare to Germany, meals and 4 nights (double occupancy) accommodations. The winner is responsible for providing all appropriate travel documentation. The winner and their guest must be 21 years old and will be required to sign the appropriate publicity and liability releases. The destination will include Duderstadt, Germany and/or Berlin, Germany and/or Vienna, Austria, key locations for Otto Bock. The trip also includes a tour of the Otto Bock facility. The timing and details of the trip will be determined in concert by the winner and Otto Bock representatives.

The winner is responsible for costs not included in the package including, but not limited to, state and/or local taxes, VAT, customs, and travel fees related to the trip. Any additional travel the winner elects to add will be at the winner’s expense.

General Information
The entrants and winner will hold Otto Bock and all its agents and representatives harmless from any and all losses, damages, claims, and actions of any kind in connection with the competition or resulting from acceptance or use of the prize, including without limitation, personal injury, death and property damage, and claims based on publicity rights, defamation or invasion of privacy. The winner agrees to execute all releases and documentation reasonably requested by Otto Bock HealthCare in exchange for accepting the prize.

Each Winner may be required to sign and return a release of liability, declaration of eligibility, and, where lawful, a publicity consent agreement, all within two weeks of notification. By accepting the prize, each Winner agrees to the use of his/her name, voice and/or likeness for the purpose of advertising, trade, or promotion without further compensation, unless prohibited by law.
